If you need a vacation but don’t have the money or the time – our suggestion: Visit Rats in Hamilton, NJThursday October 29, 2009
Rat's restaurant is named for and inspired by the book “The Wind in the Willows”. Rat’s Restaurant is located on the premises of the Grounds for Sculpture. A couple of our staff members had the pleasure of dining with the General Manager, Events Manager, and Director of Marketing at Rat’s last night. We were more than impressed by the unforgettable experience. Before you even enter the restaurant you already feel as if you have stepped into a village in Giverny, France. The restaurant itself surrounds guests with a homey feeling that takes all your worries away and makes you feel so cozy you may never want to leave. Not only does Grounds for Sculpture provide a 35-acre park with 250 outdoor sculptures but they also provide venue space that is very accommodating. The restaurant offers 5 dining rooms, 2 lounge areas, a wine tasting room, and a dance pavilion. Another imaginative private space for dinning that we were shown was the chef's table / “rathole” located in the kitchen. You can also plan larger events to be held at the J. Seward Johnson Conference Room which holds up to 350 guests. Throughout the entire facility the accommodating staff will meet your every need. The space is like a mini-vacation located right in your back yard.
