RON JAWORSKI’S 26TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY GOLF CHALLENGE TO BENEFIT THE UNITED WAY JAWS YOUTH FUND A HUGE SUCCESS
Celebrities gathered May 16th and 17th for some friendly competition for a cause at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City
Curt Allen of Subaru of America and Ron Jaworski – the winning shoot-out team donated the $30,000 back to The United Way Jaws Youth Fund.
PHILADELPHIA, MAY 17, 2010 –Ron Jaworski, NFL great and current ESPN Monday Night Football Analyst, hosted his annual Ron Jaworski Celebrity Golf Challenge (RJCGC) to benefit the United Way Jaws Youth Fund. The RJCGC was held last Sunday and Monday, May 16th and 17th, in partnership with Harrah’s resort. Events included a VIP reception, $100,000 Celebrity Shoot-Out, Pairings Party, and Celebrity-Am Tournament.
On Sunday, Joe Flacco, Darren Daulton, Mike Tirico, Herm Edwards, Mike Ditka, John Kruk, Rich Gannon, Joe Pisarcik, Mike Quick, and Ron Jaworski were among the celebrities who participated in the Celebrity Shoot-Out. Ron Jaworski, who was paired with Curt Allen of Subaru of America, sank a 25-foot putt to win the tournament.

The festivities continued at the Harrah’s pool for the Pairings Party, where monies were raised during a live and silent auction.
Justin Gimelstob, Howard Eskin, Vince Papale, Merrill Reese, and Dean Norris were among the participants in the Celeb-Am Tournament, which took place Monday morning and afternoon. Here, groups of four were paired with a celebrity to compete in a scramble-style tournament.
The RJCGC raises approximately $200,000 each year through sponsorship, donations and ticket sales. All proceeds go to the Jaws Youth Fund, a partnership of the Jaworski Family and the United Way of Camden County, which promotes the future success of at-risk youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for disadvantaged youth. The foundation has raised more than $3 million to date.
