The Founders Inn and Spa Introduces New Sales Team

Virginia Beach, VA (October 6, 2011) –The Founders Inn, owned by Regent University and managed by West Paces Hotel Group, presents its new group sales team. Director of Sales and Marketing, Megan Whaling, leads Group Sales Managers Dwayne King, Alexandra Horton, Terrance Frederick, Catering Sales Managers, Lisa Aguilar and Jennifer Herzog.

A long-term employee of both Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Marriott International, and a former Army officer, Ms. Whaling leads a powerful team of sales professionals.

•    Dwayne King, a seasoned Senior Sales Manager coming from Ocean Place Resort in New Jersey, brings with him over 13 years of combined hospitality experience. A graduate of Brookdale Community College, he will manage the corporate, government and association markets.

•    Alexandra Horton, trained in Conference Service Planning and a graduate of the Michigan State University, has a strong background in conference service management, will work with local businesses, corporate and military clients.

•    Terrance Frederick, a Hampton University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Resort Management, will work primarily with religious groups. A native of Chesapeake, Mr. Frederick returns to The Founders Inn and Spa, having been in guest services from 2008-2010. He most recently worked as a group Sales Manager at Crowne Plaza in Williamsburg.

•    Lisa Aguilar, a graduate of University of Southern California and an employee of The Founders Inn since 2006, takes her expertise into the catering aspect of hospitality as Catering Sales Manager, primarily working with weddings.

•    Jennifer Herzog joins the staff after several years at the Sheraton Oceanfront in Virginia Beach. Her knowledge and experience in hospitality catering sales includes positions at the Marriott Charlottesville, Holiday Inn Surfside, Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront and Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers.
