Art Meets Hospitality Summer Outing


July 17, 2019 Philadelphia, PA - The 14th Annual Hospitality Summer Outing was a great success this year as the event was hosted at the world-renown Barnes Foundation. Guests were greeted at the entrance and grabbed cold drinks from Trailer + Tap, a mobile bar and Ellis Cold Brew, a mobile coffee bar before they made their way indoors during one of the hottest days of the year. Since it was a Parisian theme, attendees passed Event FX's Eiffel Tower and the word P A R I S lit up in four-foot-tall LED lights created by Slay Displays while making their way through registration. As they turned the corner into Annenberg Court, which was booming with the Elan Artists’ band Bon Musique, Parisian-style food carts by Event FX, a CORTEvent Furniture Lounge, Party Rental Ltd.’s various product lines and over 450 hospitality industry professionals made Paris came alive!Culinary from Brulee Catering, Catering By Design, City Tavern, Di Bruno Bros. Catering, Eclat Chocolate, Garces Events, Godiva Chocolatier, Sage Catered Events, Snackadabara, and of course the Barnes Foundation's exclusive caterer Constellation Culinary Group. Beverage stations set-up by CCG consisted of Chaddsford Winery, Yards Brewing Company and Tito's Handmade Vodka as well as unique bar district was created by 13th Street Cocktail Catering.

The event continued past the glass walls of the Court and out to the West Terrace, where there were more culinary choices like Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Frost 321, Neuman's Kitchen Events & Catering and Weckerly's Ice Cream. Each cart and area throughout the event had a different taste and style of Paris.

The Galleries to The Barnes’ collection were opened so that attendees could browse through the artwork during the event. Live artists brought a creative energy. Denise Fike, who specializes in fashion illustration was available to draw customized illustrations for anyone interested in posingand LA-based artist Jeremy Sutton painted the event in real-time using a map of Paris as his choice of canvas. These artists, in addition to Magical Fantasies providing Van Gogh's 'Postman' with a framed view and Jordi the Mime brought the entire event alive.

Attendees left the celebration with their own bouquet of flowers from Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine and Arrangements Unlimited, classic French Madeleine cookies from Vegan Commissary and a temporary tattoo of their choice by Live Ink Events.
