Visit Delco, PA for Fresh Air & Fresh Ideas

Fresh Air & Fresh Ideas is just one of the new marketing campaigns being introduced by Delaware County’s Official Tourism Promotion Agency, Visit Delco, PA.

Centrally located along the I-95 and I-476 corridors, as well as easily accessible from major cities such as Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore and Wilmington, DE., Delaware County is famous for its rich history, vibrant arts scene, thriving culinary scene and family-friendly attractions. It is also rapidly becoming the premier destination for meeting and events.

“A Fortune 100 Company recently held a multiple-day Team Building Event at Tyler Arboretum, just outside of Media,” notes Visit Delco, PA Executive Director Steve Byrne, adding that Tyler is one of America’s oldest arboreta and attracts more than 70,000 visitors a year.

The event included a variety of programs, extensive food and beverage service, breakout areas and lots of ‘fresh air’ options like hiking trails, nature exploration and meadows for activities, lectures and reflection.

According to Tyler’s Communications Manager, Gary Bloomer, “We were excited to be chosen to host the event, and the company was effusive in their gratitude and praise for our facilities and flexibility. The key to success lies in being flexible and to simply being open to possibilities. It’s simply a case of focusing on offering a positive customer experience.”

Byrne and the Visit Delco, PA team are looking forward to the upcoming Meet Me in Delco event to be held at the newly renovated Inn at Villanova on October 21st. The event will offer educational programming for up-and-coming meeting planners, as well as the opportunity for established professionals from the tri-state area to network with Delaware County hoteliers, caterers, and attractions offering meeting and event spaces and services. Byrne added, “By reaching out to both seasoned meeting professionals and newcomers, we’re hoping our tourism and hospitality partners will build relationships that will encourage and inspire fresh ideas in Delaware County for years to come.”
