How Washington, DC will support #GMIDGoesVirtual
Destination DC asked members of Washington, DC’s hospitality and tourism industry to download its #DCTogether Zoom backgrounds and take a screenshots of themselves in front of their favorite DC spots to help showcase how the nation’s capital is supporting #GMIDGoesVirtual.
“Meeting face-to-face is so important in our industry and during this unprecedented time, we are doing everything we can to showcase how meetings support business and generate billions of dollars nationally. In 2018, transient and group business travelers accounted for 57 percent of spending in Washington, DC,” said Elliott L. Ferguson, II, president and CEO, Destination DC. “This video is just one example of how we are bringing #DCtogether through our incredible hospitality and tourism partners, while also meeting the needs of groups as they find new ways, such as hybrid events with digital components, to accomplish business.”
