Safari in Sand will be on view from June 1 through August 2025; Visitors can watch sand artists at work in May
Lahaska, PA — For the fourth consecutive year, Peddler’s Village, a countryside shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will host a summer-long, Village-wide display featuring larger-than-life sand sculptures. Free and open to the public from June 1 through August 31, Safari in Sand will showcase several magnificent sculptures created by world-renowned master sand sculptors. The sand sculptures, all of which are due to be completed by June 1 (weather depending), will feature safari animals including elephants, rhinoceros, lions, gorillas, and more. The large sand sculptures will be complemented by several smaller sand sculptures as well as sandboxes designed for play. In mid-May, Peddler’s Village guests will have the opportunity to watch sand sculpting teams in turn as they apply their artistic and technical skills to create magnificent sand sculptures on the property.
During the summer-long display, guests can pick up a field guide from the Visitor & Event Center to begin a self-guided educational adventure. Children who complete the field guide scavenger hunt will receive a prize. Guests 18 years or older are also invited to enter an overnight stay giveaway which includes a one-night stay at the Golden Plough Inn, the on-property inn at Peddler’s Village, breakfast for two, and a $150 dining gift card. Winners will be announced monthly.
The sculpture creation phase will span a total of two weeks. As in previous year, the sculptures will be created by two award-winning teams: Team Sandtastic, based in Florida, and John Gowdy and Laura Gowdy, based in New Jersey. Financial support for this year’s Safari in Sand display has been provided in part by Bucks County and Visit Bucks County through the Bucks County Tourism Grant Program* as well as by sponsors that include Fred Beans Automotive Group, The Lucky Cupcake Company, Pieces, Sticky Situations, and Nina’s Waffles and Ice Cream
